Kristen C. Sihler, M.D., M.S. Assistant Professor of Surgery

Kristen C. Sihler, M.D., M.S., recently joined the faculty of the Division of Acute Care Surgery as an Assistant Professor of Surgery. Dr. Sihler completed a fellowship in trauma and critical care at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, and a surgical residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. She is an ATLS instructor and board certified in General Surgery with added qualifications in surgical critical care. Her research interests include outcomes from trauma, especially rural trauma; anemia and inflammation in injured patients; and the role of statins in attenuating adverse outcomes from surgery and trauma.
