Tom earned a BS degree in Biological Sciences from Michigan Technological University in 1976 and completed an Internship in Medical Technology the following year at Wayne County General Hospital in Westland, Michigan. Tom earned a Masters Degree in Education from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan (1988) and was certified as a Tissue Bank Specialist by the American Association of Tissue Banks, (AATB,1991). Tom came to the Trauma Burn Center in 1985 as a Medical Technologist and has served in the capacity of Senior Clinical Technologist, Director of the Skin Bank and Trauma Burn Laboratory. In addition to his responsibilities with the Trauma Burn Center, Tom is currently the Administrative Manager for General Surgery's Divisions of Acute Care Surgery, Surgical Oncology and Immunotherapy. |
